First ever passive housing area in Finland from Eco House!

9 passive duplexes and 5 townhouses will be belt on the Kostinvirta – region, near Tampere City in Finland. The Construction works will start at April 2010.
The first ever passive housing area will be constructed near Pelkänne Lake. The official name of the cottage area is Kostinvirta passive house area and it will include in total 33 apartments in 9 duplexes and 5 townhouses.

All passive houses will manufacture and deliver Eco House (Ekotalo in Finland);  this houses are ready frame houses, manufactured from ready passive frame walls, including low energy windows and doors, and the roof structure will be delivered by SPU Systems Oy. Eco House will use also SPU insulation in all passive structures. The General Constructor will be Laipanmaan Rakennus Oy.
 
Duplex houses are 230 and 250 m2 and townhouses are 300 m2 each for 3 families. First houses will be constructed in April 2010.
 "We have decided to build passive houses, because we wanted to give the owners an additional value. The place of area is most beautiful place on P?lk?nne Lake and the big advantage is: passive house will be more expensive on market, if the owner will decide to resale it. Very important additional value is: energy saving", says the CEO of Laipanmaan Rakennus Oy, Juha Per?l?.
 
The construction of passive houses became quite normal in Finland, but this Project is first time, when there is so large construction area for the passive housing.
"The passive area of P?lk?nne is pilot project and it also means that passive housing area project will become more usual in Finland ", says SPU Systems Deputy General Manager Janne Jormalainen.
 
Eco House Finland and Eco House Israel owners and Managing Partners Ivan Kalishevich and Valery Kravitz are sure that passive construction will expand quickly.
"The demand for the Eco House ready frame houses has increased dramatically together with crisis. And the biggest demand is for the passive houses. We believe that already on 2012 people will by just passive houses in Finland", Factory Director Harri Nokso and Eco House MDs Kalishevich and Kravitz says.
